Our student-athletes are Lincoln-West High School Wolverines, which are a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and belong to the Sentate Athletic League, which is made up of all the high schools within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
Student-athletes that want to participate in athletics, cheerleading, hi-steppers, or weight lifting must have a 2018-2019 OHSAA Pre-Participation Physical on file before starting any athletic program.
All student-athletes must adhere to the following criteria in order to remain eligible and in good-standing with OHSAA guidelines for participation in athletics:
- Maintain five credit hours each semester of participation;
- Earn passing grades (no I or F) in a minimum of five courses each semester to maintain continued eligibility;
- Maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA; and
- Ensure a copy of your OHSAA Physical Form is current amd completed by a licensed physician.
Students must maintain academic eligibility. This is achieved through the use of weekly eligibility cards signed and dated by their current teacher and monitored by athletic coaches and the athletic director.
No student may participate in an athletic scrimmage or competition without being approved academically eligible.Please contact Timothy Casselberry, Lincoln-West Athletic Director, with any questions about the Lincoln-West athletic program.
