• CRESS


    CMSD uses a collectively-bargined system to evaluate our classified union staff.  Our model is called CRESS, which stands for Classified Represented Education Support Staff. The system provides for an end-of-year rating discussion between the employee and manager and ratings in several competency areas.

    For 17-18 the employee CRESS self-evaluations, which are optional, will open April 6 and close April 27. Evaluations for 10-month employees must be complete by May 25.  Evaluations for 12-month employees must  be complete by June 29.

    Training on CRESS for new employees will be at East Professional Center on the following dates and times:

    • April 11: train on CRESS in East 207 8:00 - 10:00
    • April 18: train on CRESS in East 225 3:00 – 5:00
    • CANCELLED April 25: train on CRESS in East 225 3:00 – 5:00
    • May 18: train on CRESS in East 213 9:00 - 11:00
    • May 23: train on CRESS in Ridge Road Computer Lab (note: no elevator requires stairs) 2:00 - 4:00

    Evaluators are required to take a certification exam to prepare to evaluate employees in CRESS.  The certification test can be taken at East Professional Center on the following dates and times:

    • April 11: proctor test in East 225 9:00 – 12:00
    • April 18: proctor test in East 225 9:00 – 12:00
    • April 25: proctor test in East 225 9:00 – 12:00
    • May 2: proctor test in East 225 9:00 – 12:00
    • May 16: proctor test in East 225 9:00 - 12:00
    • May 30: proctor test in East 225 9:00 - 12:00
