• Dear Parents and Guardians,

I want to THANK YOU for the amazing welcome you have showed me! It is my honor to be apart of the Wildcat family and serving our scholars, families and community as your principal.

We have been very blessed this fall with beautiful weather.  With the weather now changing, please be sure your children are dressed for outdoor recess, arrival and dismissal.  If you need any assistance, please reach out and we will be happy to help.

Our November ended with a wonderful day that was planned by our teachers with the support of our communitiy and partners. Our scholars enjoyed Thanksgiving meals, attended The Christmas Carol and engaged with instruction that was challenging and fun!

Now, with the start of December we are coming to the end of our second grading quarter.  If you were unable to schedule an appointment with your child/ren’s teacher, feel free to contact your teacher for an appointment.  We look forward to this time of the year as it takes a true partnership to help our children reach their fullest potential.

December will fly by with many activities and family events planned, please ensure you check our calender on the website and the one sent home.

As the weather changes please ensure that your children attend school every day.  Research shows:

    • Children chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade.
    • By 6th grade, chronic absence is a proven early warning sign for students at risk for dropping out of school.
    • By 9th grade good attendance can predict graduation rates even better than 8th grade test scores.

Absences can add up quickly.  A child is chronically absent if he or she misses just two days every month!

I am so proud to be apart of our Wildcat family and the growth of our building and community!
