• Transportation

Transportation eligibility is based on the distance from the home residence to the school. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th must live 1.00 mile or more from their assigned school to receive some form of transportation service. Students in grades 9 through 12 must live 3 miles or more from their assigned school to receive transportation. (RTA tickets or identification swipe cards are provided for this group.)

To help students reach high schools across the District, the Board of Education provides free transportation through the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA). Students who live at least a half-mile from school can ride RTA with an identification card issued by the District. The cards may be used from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on school days.

We recommend that students protect their ID card — If they lose their card, the first replacement is free; a $10 fee will be charged if lost again.
