Public meetings to be held on construction, renovation
3/9/2022 -- The District will renovate Joseph M. Gallagher PreK-8 School and build replacements for Clark PreK-8 School, Marion C. Seltzer PreK-8 School and the Lincoln-West high school campus. All the construction projects will take place on the current sites.

Proposals sought for six surplus school properties
8/9/2021 -- Proposals are being sought for a second time for six former school sites. The deadline for submitting proposals is Sept. 29.

OFCC approves construction and renovation projects
7/8/2021 -- The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission approved state funding for major renovation of Joseph M. Gallagher PreK-8 School, as well as construction of a new Lincoln-West high school campus and two PreK-8 schools – Clark and Marion C. Seltzer.

City, CMSD seek redevelopment of closed schools, vacant property
3/1/2021 -- The projects must complement the surrounding neighborhood and help revitalize the community. The city and District have issued a Request for Qualifications that calls for plans that benefit neighborhoods through racial equity, inclusion and wealth building.

Nonprofit's plan would keep Collinwood High, add community uses
2/23/2021 -- The WorkRoom Program Alliance would buy the massive building and lease back a portion to CMSD. Plans call for converting remaining space to other uses, including an adult training center for manufacturing and robotics.

CEO recommends remote learning continues, hopes hybrid is possible soon
1/15/2021-- The CEO expressed hope that distribution of vaccines will improve conditions and soon allow a move to hybrid.

School of One opens site at LGBT Center
11/19/2020 -- CMSD's School of One has opened a site at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, a partnership that might be the first of its kind in the country.
