Degrees and Certifications:
Lennox M. Thompson
I was born and raised in Hockley, Texas, a suburb of Houston, Texas. I have served as an assistant principal at George Washington Carver STEM in Cleveland Metro Schools the last two years in Cleveland. Prior to relocating to Cleveland, I taught Spanish and Social Studies for five years and was a magnet coordinator for one year in Houston Independent School District.
I completed my Master’s Degree in Education Administration at Texas Southern University. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Spanish from Sam Houston State University. I am proud to say that I am from a background of educators who have instilled in me perseverance, hard work and the importance of a team effort in both the classroom and as a leader.
Now going into my 4th year in leadership, I have been molded to inspire and positively influence students to see the value of their own learning and setting high expectations for themselves. As an advocate for inner-city scholars, I consistently aim to build and strengthen relationships based on trust with the community, open communication with parents/guardians and an unwavering support from faculty and staff. I look forward to continuing the work of moving the pendulum of success with scholars at John F. Kennedy E3agle High School this year.
