• Welcome to The George Washington Carver STEM School!

Dear George Washington Carver STEM School,

Can you believe the summer went by so fast? We are back and ready to keep working hard to improve student's academic achievement and social and emotional development. We have missed our scholars over the summer, however we have made great use of our time away from scholars. We have been planning and learning new ways to keep scholars focused on learning and growing while in the process.

We have a massive number of new staff to add to the strong team that has returned this school year. Our staff has grown in number and in brainpower. Our team will be working hard to continue to make our families and the Central Community proud of GWC.

Our parents are vital assets to the success of our scholars. We hope that all parents connect with our school on a deeper level this year by participating in monthly Parent Advisory Committee Meetings, and Parent Teacher Conferences, in addition to the monthly Tuesday Talks and Family Nights. In addition to our parents, our partners help us to make sure that all of our scholars have what they need to be successful. We will continue to have City Year, Beechbrook, Burten Bell Carr Development, Key Bank and many more partners as a part of Team Carver. An exciting addition to our school environment will be our sports teams! We will have boys and girls Basketball, boys and girls Track, girls Volley Ball and Cheerleading at Carver this school year!

There is no way that we can have a successful school year if all of our scholars are not here for them to learn. Please help us ensure that your scholars are in school everyday, on time. If there is any way that we can help your scholar be prepared for school, please don't hesitate to call the office. We can’t afford to let them miss a minute of learning! Thank you for choosing to be a part of The George Washington Carver STEM School family!!!
