The Summer is almost here and so are your summer assignments!

If you missed the Welcome Reception on May 11th, you can download the assignments by using the links on this page.

    Summer Reading Assignment

Download the Assignment. Or go to the Independent Reading page on our updated website.

The assignment is to read Malala Yousafzai's memoir, I am Malala, and to write three reflections using google classroom (google classroom instructions on the way in June). You can find the text in two versions (one is the standard version the other is for young readers)--both are acceptable for you to read. You can get a copy of the book in one of three ways:

    1. Purchase your own (it's about $7 on Amazon.com).
    2. Borrow it from the Cleveland Public Library.
    3. Check out a copy from the school. Please contact Mr. Kim El-Mallawany by email or phone (216.694.8534) in advance if you would like to do this.

    The City is Our Campus

    Download the Assignment.

Start your City is Our Campus reflections by doing three fun things with your family this summer. Choose from our list or run your own idea by your advisor (you'll find out who that is through our June mailing if you don't already know), and then use google classroom (we'll send instructions in June as well) to write a reflection.

The city is indeed our campus, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore the world by attending fun activities this summer. Check out the Plain Dealer's comprehensive list here.

Coming up this Memorial Day Weekend: The Tremont Greek Festival (free) and the USPA Polka Convention (free for kids under 17; $18 for adults)
