Mrs. Vandana Bhardwaj
Mrs. Bhardwaj has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and two Master Degrees, one in education and the other in English literature. Mrs. Bhardwaj has about 20 years of experience teaching science to youngsters. Mrs. Bhardwaj taught science at a middle school in India and moved to Cleveland in 2001. Since then she has been teaching Biology in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She is currently working on her license to teach English to the second language learners ( TESOL ).Besides being a teacher, she has organized several activities, educational excursions and workshops.
As a science teacher she has always introduced new learning methods to ensure total comprehension for all students. She is a team person who possesses leadership skills. Computer aided instruction is an integral part of her teaching. She has been involved in many technological initiatives at the district and state level. She is the Master teacher for the Intel teaches to the future program where she trained about 90 teachers to be computer literate. She possesses an innovative approach to teaching where students work with their hands.
Being a passionate teacher, she believes that education is not filling a brain like an empty vessel. A teacher can help a child learn to apply his or her intelligence. A teacher can make the students eagerly wait for her to enter into a classroom instead of waiting for the bell.
