Parent-teacher conferences set Oct. 28-29

CMSD schools will hold parent-teacher conferences Wednesday, Oct. 28 or Thursday, Oct. 29, depending on the grade level.
High schools will conduct conferences from 12:30-7 p.m. Wednesday and K-8 schools will hold theirs during the same hours on Thursday.

Some schools will not have conferences next week -- for example, four year-round high schools are administering college-readiness tests Wednesday and will hold their conferences on Nov. 4. Check with your child's school to be certain.
The Cleveland Plan, a customized education reform plan written into state law, requires that parents and caregivers of CMSD students meet with their children’s teachers at least once a year.
Participation reached 80 percent last school year and 73 percent the previous year, the first time the data was recorded.
CMSD has taken steps, including providing parents and caregivers with the students’ data, to make conferences more meaningful.
