CMSD expects to fill still-open teaching positions after more than 350 hopefuls pack job fair

BRATENAHL, Ohio – More than 350 teaching hopefuls packed a parking lot and quickly claimed more than 200 slots for interviews to fill the Cleveland school district’s lingering open teaching positions at a district job fair Wednesday.
For four hours, a stream of applicants for those slots and other teacher aide openings went through interviews in assembly-line fashion at the district's training center off Interstate 90 in Bratenahl. While some people were turned away because all the interview slots had filled, others sat for three, four or more interviews that some described as similar to speed-dating.
