Applications taken for 4 school board seats

A nominating panel is accepting applications for four seats on the Cleveland Board of Education.

Under Ohio law, the mayor appoints members of the Cleveland school board. The nominating panel will review the applications and submit recommendations to the mayor. 
 
The appointees will serve terms that will expire on June 30, 2021. 
 
Applicants must live in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, which includes Cleveland, Bratenahl, Linndale, Newburgh Heights and parts of Brook Park and Garfield Heights. Board members do not receive pay.

Applications also may be obtained by going to www.city.cleveland.oh.us, www.cpl.org, or www.clevelandmetroschools.org or by visiting branches of the Cleveland Public Library and Cleveland recreation centers. 

Applications can be mailed to the Nominating Panel at 601 Lakeside Ave., Room 227, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, attention Monyka Price or dropped off at City Hall, Room 227.

Applications must be submitted by the close of business on Friday, July 14.
