Student-athletes and Indians renovate park (video)

Baseball season is in full swing, and now even more people from the community can enjoy America's favorite pastime, thanks to CMSD student athletes and the Cleveland Indians.
The John Adams High School baseball and softball teams joined with the Indians to clean up Luke Easter Park in the wind and rain on April 16. The students and Indians staff members constructed benches, sanded bleachers and built a baseball field from scratch.

Indians catcher Yan Gomes, who is on the disabled list with a knee injury, visited the students at the end of the day to inspect the new field and answer questions.

The renovations were made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, a joint initiative between Major League Baseball and the MLB players union.
