State honors Glenville, Dunbar for progress

The State Board of Education has honored Glenville High School and Paul L. Dunbar PreK-8 School for exceeding expectations in student academic growth during the 2017-18 school year.

Glenville and Dunbar received Momentum Awards for earning A’s in all of the value-added categories on their most recent state report cards. Statewide, 226 schools earned the award.

Value-added measures whether students achieve the growth projected for them during the year. The schools received their A's for progress made by their students as a whole, students in the lowest 20 percent of achievement and students with disabilities.

Glenville has won the award two years in a row.
