The Cleveland School of Science and Medicine was ranked as the 15th best public high school in Northeast Ohio in a list released this week by U.S. News and World Report.

The annual U.S. News ranking is based based on "college readiness" and other performance indicators from the 2014-15 school year. The publication highlighted some of the reasons for CSSM'S rank, including an Advanced Placement course participation rate of 94 percent and high proficiency in both math and English. The school also boasts a 100 percent graduation rate
The silver medal is awarded to high schools ranked from No. 501 to No. 2,609 nationally. CSSM ranks 1,164 out of the 20,487 public schools that U.S. News reviewed.
CSSM is one of few schools in the District with selective admissions. The school, which has about 370 students, enjoys partnerships with world-class medical institutions in Cleveland, including the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and the Case Western Reserve University medical school.
