WEEKLY UPDATE: Wednesday Intervention and Last Day of Quarter 1

I want to remind you and your child attendance to school is mandatory on Wednesdays. For all students in grades 9-11 they must attend office hours with their grade level teachers from 8:30-10:30 AM. Office hours are an important time to meet with teachers to clear up any issues including missing assignments, make up quizzes/tests, retake assessments, reconcile tech issues, address attendance issues, etc. Each grade level will meet using a Zoom link that is shared in Schoology. In this Zoom meeting, your teachers will have breakout rooms for each course and for independent work. Please follow up with your child to ensure they understand this expectation of attending Office Hours.

Additionally, on Wednesdays, senior students must attend senior professional learning facilitated by our college and career readiness team. These sessions are mandatory and all work/deliverables in these sessions will be counted towards their senior seminar course and Ohio Means Jobs graduation seal. Not attending these sessions can have a negative impact on your child’s eligibility for graduation.

Our last day of first quarter is Friday, October 23. Your child will have a two week fall break from Monday, October 26 through Friday, November 6. Fall break is a great time for your child to make up any missing assignments they may have. I strongly recommend you log into your parent Schoology account to check your child's grades and missing assignments ASAP. If you do not have a parent Schoology account or need the access code, please let your child’s teacher-advisor know so they can help you set this up.
