Mrs. Dawn Teets

Welcome to fourth grade!

My name is Dawn Teets and I am proud to say that I have been a teacher in Cleveland for twenty-five years. Twenty-three of those years have been at Denison Elementary School!

This year I am teaching fourth grade Math and Science. My partner teacher is teaching the English & Language Arts and Social Studies. Most of my experience has been in the intermediate and middle -school grades, but I began my career teaching in the primary grades.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Baldwin-Wallace University, and I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University. Additionally, I have a license in Middle Childhood Science, which I earned at Cleveland State University.

Outside the classroom I am involved with Denison’s Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), I assist our principal with the school newsletter, I help plan Family and Community Events, I contribute and modify the school website, and I run NBA Math Hoops with the fourth graders.

On a personal note, I have been married for twenty-five years and have four wonderful children. I completely support their academics and cheer them on in athletics. My three boys play hockey and my daughter is a swimmer. The youngest member of our household is a two year old cat named Snickers – also my favorite candy bar!

You are invited to stop by my classroom at anytime. I welcome all forms of communication, as it is a key component to a successful school year.
