I came to CSA in 2015 after serving as a teacher, assistant principal, non profit director and principal in Cleveland in both public and private schools. While I grew up about a mile away from CSA in Cleveland’s St. Clair Superior neighborhood, as a teenager I had no idea that CSA existed; had I known about CSA, it definitely would have been a place I would have loved as a high school student.
I am a trained Visual Artist, having studied art and art history at both Wittenberg University and the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughn, County Clare, Ireland. While I studied art, I ended up graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and also studied in the southern African country of Lesotho. I also went on to earn a Master’s in Education Administration, an MBA, and I am currently a doctoral student in the University of Pennsylvania’s Mid Career Doctoral Program in Education Leadership.
I love CSA’s diverse student, family, and faculty community. I also love that CSA is a community of Artists! Having access to students and faculty creating and performing everyday is food for the soul! I believe that arts are an integral part of every human’s education and I am humbled by being able to witness Cleveland’s youth creative and artistic expression every day!
