Master Teacher Renewal Information
MT Renewal Submission:
A master teacher demonstrates excellence inside and outside of the classroom through consistent leadership and focused collaboration to maximize student learning. A master teacher strives for distinguished teaching and continued professional growth as specified by the Standards for Ohio Teachers. A Master Teacher Designation is valid for five years and must be active to upgrade or renew a Senior Professional Teaching License.To be eligible for the Master Teacher Renewal, educators must have obtained the Master Teacher designation and it must be active at the time of renewal.Renewal candidates may choose either Year Four or Year Five of their Master Teacher designation to complete the renewal process. If a Master Teacher successfully renews his/her designation during Year Four, his/her renewal status does not take effect until their current five-year designation expires.

CMSD Renewal Candidates must: complete required forms, submit written reflection (four pages), submit three pieces of evidence.*All submissions must follow the required CMSD formatting, assembling and submission guidelines as directed in the style-guide (pdf).Also, be aware of the Anonymity Guidelines (do not include your name in your written commentaries and remove your name from all evidence submitted).
