Expanding Opportunities for Every Child
CMSD is excited to announce that we have 18 schools receiving grant funds from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to expand opportunities for students in those schools. This funding will be instrumental in helping us move closer towards providing equitable access to high-quality opportunities across schools throughout the district.
Students in those schools will have increased access to advanced coursework, career pathways, graduation pathways, and personalized learning.
Advanced Coursework - New or significantly expanded opportunities for advanced coursework, such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate(IB), College and Career Program(CCP) or Pre-AP. Training costs associated with expanded coursework and curriculum, equipment and supplies to support new advanced course offerings.
Career Pathways - Additional access to career pathway and technology courses. Staff training and materials to implement new career pathway choices. Curriculum, materials, and supplies to support new career pathway choices. Exam costs for state-recognized industry credentialing.
Graduation Pathways - Competency requirement demonstrated in an alternative pathway for ELA and/or Math. Readiness requirement demonstrated by earning two diploma seals.
Personalized Learning - Competency-based learning opportunities. Blended learning opportunities.
