Last week, at the 39th conference, the club honored the District’s top seniors and connected them with civic leaders to discuss issues that are important to the seniors and articulate their visions of the future.
Peng Zhou, a student from Design Lab Early College, has been chosen as one of the White House’s Kid Science Advisors, a group of more than 2,500 students across the country chosen to share their ideas on how to benefit Americans through science, technology, and innovation.
CMSD will resume meetings to plan the future of the District’s academic programs and facilities. Meetings that begin Sept. 28 will focus on high schools.
Ten District teachers have learned that they have won this year’s Excellence in Teaching Award. The honor goes to teachers who demonstrate instructional expertise, creativity and innovation and set an example for their peers.
