District Parent Advisory Committee

Parents and caregivers play a vital role in supporting student success across the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The District Parent Advisory Committee provides an opportunity for families to share feedback, receive updates, and serve as a sounding board and resource for district initiatives aligned with The Cleveland Plan.

Committee members represent the voices of CMSD families and help strengthen communication between families, schools, and the district.

Members serve a one-year term, attend a mandatory fall training, and meet four times during the school year. Members may also be invited to participate in subcommittees or provide feedback on district priorities and family engagement efforts.

To serve on the District Parent Advisory Committee, parents and caregivers must have a child enrolled in CMSD and be recommended by their school principal or building leader.
