The Policy and Planning function manages the CMSD's strategy for increasing the number of high quality seats and offering a diverse portfolio of schools and programs aligned to citywide needs.

Using extensive data, both internal and external, this core planning function allows the CMSD to identify and strategize around system and school-level needs. By managing the multi-year view of the school portfolio, this function is responsible for ensuring that the organization is well prepared in order to maximize our efficiency and effectiveness of implementation.
