Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tiffany McBroom
5th Grade Teacher
Hello to all of our 5th grade students and our WCB family members. Welcome to a new and very different school year!
I am excited to begin a new year and look forward to meeting my new students. Let me begin by telling you about myself. I began my professional career when I enrolled at Cleveland State University and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education 1-8. After years of teaching I learned I loved teaching math so went on to get a Master's degree in Middle School Math. I also wanted to improve my teaching of reading to at-risk students and decided to attend John Carrol University to earn a Reading Endorsement K-12. I will begin my 23rd year teaching in Cleveland and have taught all grades between 1st and 8th grade, mostly instructing in the areas of reading and math throughout the years.
On a more personal note, here are some things about me that will give you an idea of who I am! I love (and miss) having big family gathers. I have a soft spot for all types of dogs. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to tend to my garden; planting, weeding, and harvesting. Being pool side on a sunny day and walking the Cleveland Metroparks seems to ground me. I also learned this year how much I really do love working with students face-to-face. I miss the interactions we had in the classroom and look forward to that happening again in the future.
This year is going to be a year of growth and learning for educators and students alike. With open minds and positivity we can make this an experience that prepares our students for the technology driven future!
