Hello to all parents, families, and students! Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year and 5th/6th English Language Arts, Room A 218, Lexington College! I am the 5th and 6th Grade Reading Teacher, Mrs. Tanski, and I am very excited for a new school year with our middle school students! This is my 11th year teaching at WGLA. We have an awesome group of girls and I am confident we are going to accomplish and grow a great deal throughout this school year, both academically and personally. I look forward to working with the girls again, to continue their journey in Reading! Class Dojo Messenger is the best way to contact all 5th/6th-grade teachers. Class Dojo Story is the best way to keep up with Middle School updates, important dates, activities we are doing in class, and school-wide events.
Here is what will be included in Reading class: 1) Reading warm-ups with grammar and vocabulary. 2) Reading discussions with our literature groups. 3) Daily reading of our self-selected book. 4) Reading tests and quizzes. 5) Exact Path Reading Learning Path. 6) Writer's Workshop to produce a quarterly writing piece and project
