Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from Albanian University in 1988 with a teaching degree where I worked as an elementary teacher for nineteen years. After that, my family and I moved to the United States. Soon after moving, I enrolled at Cleveland State University where I graduated from with a Bachelor of Science in Education and where I am currently working on my Master's degree. My first experience with Riverside starts a long time ago as a volunteering math tutor. It seems like yesterday that I started and I really value our fantastic dedicated staff with lots of our parents giving great support to what we do.
I teach 4th grade in Math and Science. My goal for my classroom is to motivate students to figure out their strength and weaknesses so they can grow to their full potential.
My teaching philosophy is very simple, students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. I incorporate the SE model in my classroom makes teaching the lessons easier in that the students are more willing to learn, the activities are set up, the lesson sequence is well thought out and the objective is thoroughly covered.
More than anything though, it is the success of every child in my classrooms that makes my job as a fourth-grade teacher such a rewarding one.
Outside of school, I enjoy learning and take every opportunity to visit historical places and museums. I am also a keen baker and try my best to recreate recipes from the Mediterranean recipes.
