Hello. My name is Laura Probola. I am a Paraprofessional at Riverside School. I work with middle school students with special needs. I bring to the classroom a love and respect for all children, the belief that all children can learn, creativity, a sense of humor and an extensive computer graphics background.
Before I became an educator I earned a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. For many years I was employed as a Exhibit Designer/Illustrator for many businesses such as The Health Museum of Cleveland, The Children’s Museum, The Art Museum, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, American Greetings, The Department of Veterans Affairs and Kent Publishing just to name a few. I continue to work as a freelance artist on a part-time basis. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family (I have an identical twin sister) and friends, writing and illustrating children’s books, inventing, gardening, traveling, supporting Cleveland sports teams, and going to my family’s home on Kelley’s Island.
