Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am the building substitute at WGLA.  This year, I will be working with the 5th/6th-grade team teaching 5th and 6th-grade science and 5th-grade social studies while Ms. Neely is on sabbatical. While I am new to the 5th & 6th-grade team this school year, I have worked many years in CMSD teaching middle school (Gr. 7-8) Social Studies & ELA. I love music and writing. I am very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with my family. I believe in a student-centered approach to learning, where I am a teacher-facilitator, and class is a combination of whole group/small group discussions/activities and independent activities. I intend to support our school's vision, mission, and priorities by mentoring our young ladies to help build communication skills, encouraging them to make positive decisions, and inspiring them to be good leaders.
