Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am the Family Support Specialist at WGLA. Say Yes rolled out in 2019 and is a partner of CMSD-assisting scholars, families, and school staff by providing resources and working to help keep scholars on track to graduation. Scholars who stay within the school district and graduate are able to receive a Say Yes scholarship that will go towards the tuition cost for a number of colleges in Ohio. It is guaranteed for all scholars within the Say Yes network, which will eventually be the whole district.

Family Support Specialists are assigned to schools as partners to help provide the best experiences for families and scholars by working with teachers and leaders to pinpoint students and families who are in need of a resource, intervention, program, etc.… We have a tracking system that helps us to create a clear pathway for students and families from Kindergarten through 12^th grade. Resources can range from food and housing to social and emotional programs, summer camps, legal services, mentorship, and more.
