    For Cleveland students, this will be a summer like no other. The CMSD Summer Learning Experience will include fun and adventure in a safe environment for scholars from preschool through 12th grade. Please take time to explore your options, and starting Monday, May 3 you will be able to sign up for one or both of our four-week sessions. Opportunities abound for students to Finish, Enrich and Engage in learning.

    DAILY SCHEDULE

    FINISH

    8:30 - 10:30am

    For the first 90 minutes of the morning, students finish the school year strong with a focus on language arts and math in K-8 and get on track for high school and graduation for grades 9-12.

    • Grades K-5 focus on conceptual understanding of whole numbers and fractions and engage in partner games that support conceptual understanding.

    • Grades 6-8 focus on progressing to algebra, building through visual models.

    • Grades 9-12 make up credits and get on track to graduation.

     

    ENRICH

    10:30am – Noon

    Rounding out the morning, students enjoy projects designed to promote teamwork and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including Community Garden, Lego City, Fairy Tales, STEM, Summer Physics Fun, Digital Photography, Elephant Project, Mural Project, American Sign Language, Social Media campaign, Cleveland exploration and improvement projects, and more.

     

    ENGAGE

    1:00 – 4:00pm

    Students attend or travel to internships, on-site camps for band, choir, sports and other activities that appeal to students’ interests and talents.
