Tianna Maxey
Principal - Cleveland School of Architecture & Design
Principal of the Excellent-rated Cleveland School of Architecture & Design @ John Hay Campus, Tianna Maxey is a graduate of CMSD’s John Marshall High School. Her familiarity with her native Cleveland and her 16-year tenure as an educator in the District are only part of what makes her a model school leader.
Tianna's passion for education and her dedication to the success of the students she serves is demonstrated in her daily interactions with students, families, staff and community partners. She has spearheaded collaborations with such institutions as the Cleveland Museum of Art to provide a cross-curricular arts integrated curriculum that engages students in year-long projects at every grade level.Under Tianna Maxey's leadership, the Cleveland School of Architecture & Design has maintained a rating of Excellent on Ohio's State Report Card, with rising scores on the Department of Education’s performance index in the last three years of 101.6, 102.7 and 104, respectively."Cleveland will supplement its current highest performing educators with a newly recruited corps of exemplary principals and teachers to lead and teach in district and charter schools."
