The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is creating an environment that empowers and values principals as professionals and makes certain that our students are held to the highest expectations.
"Our main premise is that excellent schools, led by exemplary principals and staffed by talented teachers, should have full autonomy over human and financial resources in exchange for high quality and accountability for performance. This approach will open the system to new ideas, talents, management philosophies and community assets so that our students can make the kind of breakthroughs in performance required to compete in, and contribute to, the 21st century global economy."--The Cleveland Plan
