Prior to serving the Cleveland Metropolitan School District as its Chief Operating Officer, Patrick M. Zohn was a former senior trial attorney for the United States Department of Labor and a principal in the Gateway Consultants Group. 

Under his leadership, the Council of Great City Schools named CMSD as one of the top five operations divisions in the country in 2011.  In 2016, he was named the Best Chief Operating Officer in the country by the Council of Great City Schools.

As COO, Mr. Zohn heads the district’s capital programs, facilities & maintenance, safety & security, food services and transportation departments. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law in 1978 and a bachelor’s degree in Social Science and Education from West Liberty State College in 1975.
