Street renamed for Glenville grad Steve Harvey (video)

What do you get for a guy who has everything? You name a street in his honor.
Viewers who catch "The Steve Harvey Show" at 3 p.m. today on WEWS Channel 5 will see a ceremony renaming part of East 112th Street in a tribute to the host, who grew up there. Harvey, who will turn 58 on Saturday, graduated from CMSD's Glenville High School in 1974.
Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Councilman Kevin Conwell and members of Harvey's family gathered last week for announcement of the ceremonial designation. Harvey, who was recording his show at the time, participated via a satellite audio feed and was clearly moved.
In addition to "The Steve Harvey Show," Harvey hosts TV's "Family Feud" and a radio program. He is also a comedian and author.
