Uniform bus hits the road

A former CMSD school bus converted into a store on wheels is traveling the city, distributing student uniforms to parents who purchase the clothing or receive it for free.

The service, a partnership between the District and the nonprofit Uniforms for Kids, hit the road this month and has made stops in three neighborhoods.

Additional visits are planned from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at John Adams High School, 3817 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.; 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 27 at John Marshall High School, 13501 Terminal Ave.; and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 29 at Martin Luther King Jr. Campus, 1651 E. 71st St.

More stops will be scheduled. To receive uniform assistance, parents must register in advance by calling 216-838-3223.
