Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. - Cleveland State University (Mathematics)
Though I currently live in Parma, which is where I grew up, I also lived in Cleveland for a few years while completing my undergraduate degree.
This is my first full time teaching position, however, during college I had numerous classroom and student teaching experiences in CMSD schools (Whitney M. Young, Paul Dunbar, Robinson G. Jones, New Tech West, just to name a few). My primary interest within teaching mathematics is in helping students understand that math is not just “solving for x” or memorizing the Pythagorean Theorem; the skills gained in high school math classes are useful outside of preparing one for classes in higher academia and are relevant to everyone.
The bulk of my time throughout the past four years has been spent in school or at work, but when I have a bit of free time I enjoy getting ice cream at Mitchell's, reading a good book, or hiking in the Metroparks, provided it isn’t raining!
