    How CMSD approaches education for 'neurodiverse' students at my school

    For many students in Cleveland, navigating a school day involves more than just absorbing academic content—it means managing sensory sensitivities, communication differences, or attention-related challenges. These learners with disabilities, whom we'll refer to as "neurodiverse" in this article, may have autism, ADHD, dyslexia or other conditions that impact how they engage with school. In response, schools, nonprofits, and community programs across the city are working—despite ongoing challenges—to provide more inclusive learning environments.
