CMSD seniors can begin submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, a required step toward obtaining funding for college.
The new FAFSA became available on Oct. 1. Seniors who want to enroll in college should fill out the application as soon as possible for the best chance of getting federal and school aid.
Submitting the FAFSA is required to obtain the Say Yes Cleveland scholarships created for CMSD graduates. The scholarships pay up to the full value of tuition, minus federal and state aid, to all public colleges, universities and Pell-eligible training programs in Ohio and more than 100 private colleges and universities across the country.
College Now of Greater Cleveland is holding virtual assistance with the FAFSA as part a series of college application and readiness events. Go towww.collegenowgc.org for further information.
For more information on the FAFSA or to submit the application, go to www.fafsa.gov.
