In addition to drive-up commencements now in progress, CMSD will honor its 2020 graduates with virtual ceremonies that CW43 WUAB will televise, starting this weekend.
The first four will air Sunday, following this schedule: James Ford Rhodes, 1 p.m.; John Marshall School of Information Technology, 1:30 p.m.; Cleveland School of the Arts, 2 p.m.; and Cleveland School of Architecture and Design, 2:30 p.m.
The virtual ceremonies will incorporate recorded speeches and musical performances that are included in live streaming of the drive-up graduations. But instead of vehicles, the procession will include photos of the individual students in their caps and gowns.
Weekend air dates and times for the remaining CMSD graduations will be announced.
Check the schedule at cleveland19.com, website of CW43's sister station, WOIO.
The ceremonies will also be posted to the Cleveland19.com and CMSD websites and shared on social media.
Drive-up ceremonies began June 16 continue through Wednesday, June 24 at East Professional Center and Max S. Hayes High School. To see a schedule and live stream the ceremonies, go to clevelandmetroschools.org/EastGraduations or clevelandmetroschools.org/WestGraduations.
