Two Cleveland Guardians players shared their love of baseball with CMSD students on Wednesday and encouraged them to find and pursue their own passions, whether they involve sports or not.

Outfielder Steven Kwan and Owen Miller, who plays first and second base, told students at William Rainey Harper School that they weren't dreaming of going pro when they picked up the game. They simply enjoyed it.

"Some of the best memories I have are playing in the back yard with my cousins," Miller said.

The pair, whose visit was part of a partnership between the Guardians and CMSD, fielded a flurry of questions from the students.

They stressed the importance of school and completing coursework. As for sports, they advised the third through sixth graders to try a variety.

"Play all the sports you can," Kwan said. "They all develop your skills."

Students later posed for photos with Kwan, Miller and the Guardians' racing condiments: Ketchup, Mustard and Onion.
