Nestled among Cleveland’s renowned cultural institutions in University Circle, Cleveland School of the Arts is the region’s only performing arts high school. At CSA, passionate student artists receive the training, education and support to become leaders of tomorrow in studios, classrooms and performance spaces.
CSA provides a college-preparatory education and access to nearby cultural institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland Botanical Garden and Cleveland Institute of Art. CSA offers nine arts majors: band, dance, creative writing, orchestra, photo and imaging, theatre, visual arts, vocal music and interdisciplinary arts. One-hundred percent of CSA graduates are accepted into post-secondary programs.
As a CSA student, you can: • experience and practice other art forms through electives, extracurricular activities and the Annual Festival of New Works. • take part in the Signature Events Series when CSA students perform and exhibit work at the school and at world-renowned institutions like the Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall and Cleveland Institute of Music. • join clubs in weightlifting, anime and chess; play in the jazz art ensemble; take part in the Shakespeare competition or play sports.
CSA welcomes students from across Cleveland and offers free transportation. Applications for students entering grades 9-12 are being accepted.
