In May 2017, a soccer field at Franklin D. Roosevelt Academy was donated to CMSD and the Glenville community through a partnership with the United Arab Emirates embassy and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

The field has had a major impact on students and the whole neighborhood, from physical education classes to after-school activities to serving as a place for family recreation. The UAE ambassador, who could not be present for the donation last year, wanted to experience that for himself and recently paid a special visit to hold a field dedication and play soccer with the students.
