The state law that supports The Cleveland Plan, a blueprint for education reform in the city, calls for parents and caregivers to have at least one meaningful face-to-face meeting with their children’s teachers each year. Last school year, nearly 87 percent of parents and caregivers met the requirement.
CMSD offers different types of conferences to make the meetings more interesting and relevant. Among the models are one that uses Academic Parent Teacher Teams to review student data and another that has the student lead the conference.
