Students and families can browse CMSD’s many high school options when the District holds two High School Choice Fairs.
The fairs are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 26 at CMSD’s East Professional Center, 1349 E. 79th St. and Wednesday, Feb. 9 at the John Marshall Campus, 3952 W. 140th St. Hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for both.
Under The Cleveland Plan, CMSD allows students and families to choose the school that fits their needs, as long as space is available and, in a few cases, students meet admission criteria. Models include arts, STEM, early college, single-gender and more.
Families of current eighth graders, students new to the District and CMSD students seeking to transfer already may submit high school selections by going to ChooseCMSD.org.
Through Say Yes to Education, CMSD graduates receive scholarships that pay up to the full value of tuition at all public colleges, universities and Pell-eligible training programs in Ohio and more than 100 private colleges and universities across the country.
To be eligible for Say Yes scholarships, students must be continuously enrolled in a CMSD or eligible charter high school and live in the District or city of Cleveland from ninth grade to graduation.
