WIllson and UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital partners to help WIllson families
Asthma is no fun for kids or their families. When asthma is not controlled, it can make it hard for kids to play, exercise, sleep, and go to school. Asthma can also send kids to the ER and hospital.
The good news is that when asthma is under control, kids participate fully in school, sports, and other daily activities. University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and Willson School have teamed up to help you and your child manage asthma at school and at home.
AIR (Asthma Intervention with Rainbow) is a monthly after school program at Willson School for kids and their parents. While Rainbow’s health education staff provide fun educational activities for children, Rainbow asthma experts help you to:
• understand asthma
• identify things that make your child’s asthma worse (triggers)
• recognize and treat attacks early to help keep your child out of the ER and hospital
• use inhalers and spacers
• track asthma symptoms so you can ask your doctor for help if it isn’t under control
Thanks so much!!!
