• Dear students, parents, staff and community members:

Welcome to the new John F. Kennedy High School!

As a native Clevelander, resident and 1988 Alumnus of John F. Kennedy High School, it gives me great pleasure to serve as the new Principal. We have combined the former JFK PACT, Eagle and Whitney Young campuses into one Phenomenal High School located at our new building on Miles Ave. Although the location of the school has changed, the community and educational values will remain the same. Our goal is to become the preeminent 21st Century Comprehensive High School in the areas of: College Credit Plus, Advance Placement and Honors, Career and Technical Education, Entrepreneurship, the World of Work and Civic Duty.  Because we have merged 3 schools into one campus, our mantra now is “We are One.”

Although the start of this school year is unlike any other, the faculty and staff will continue to instruct, facilitate, coach, and intervene with the highest of expectations and fidelity. We will also take the necessary safety precautions once we open fully and while students are learning remotely, to keep all students, staff and parents informed and safe.

Moreover, we have a very beautiful State of the Art and technology-rich school building. Each classroom is equipped with a 55-inch Clevertouch Smart Board that will allow our teachers and students to have Blended Learning opportunities to enhance learning. In addition, our students are able to participate in a number of high school varsity sports for both males and females, along with clubs, student government, intramurals, and the re-establishment of our Million Dollar Marching Band.

Also, we are searching for business partners, mentors, and career shadowing opportunities for our students.  If you or your business is interested, please feel free to contact us.

And to my fellow JFK Alumni, I have designated a room for all Alumni Affairs that can be utilized for all John F. Kennedy Alumni business. This room will be fashioned with computer and phone access, historical and archive memorabilia, tables for meetings and a team shop to purchase paraphernalia.

Lastly, I look forward to teaming with you. Please know that my door is always open. I am committed to being transparent as we embark on this new journey and endeavor.  WE ARE ONE. Go Eagles!

With kids and community in mind,

    Dr. Terrance Menefee
