Dear Hannah Gibbons Families,
December is upon us and with that comes the end of the first semester, as well as one of the most dreaded 4 letter words, SNOW. I am encouraging every family to continue to get their children to school on time each and every day. One of our goals this year is to increase our attendance rate by 2% to a 93%. Presently, we are at a 91% and it is going to take a collective effort to help us meet this goal. Last week alone we had an attendance rate of 92.4%, which is a 1.5% increase from the week before. I would like to encourage all families to drop their children off as close to 8:40 am as possible, as our doors do not open for scholars until 8:40 am and the weather has been cold.
With the inevitable inclement weather, I would like to encourage children to dress appropriately. Winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarfs will help keep our scholars nice and warm. If you need assistance with acquiring any "winter gear", please reach out and we will be more than happy to assist. Outdoor recess decisions will be made on a day to day basis. Lastly, as we gear up for these last few weeks of the first semester, we can’t deny that the winter weather is here. As always, I thank you for choosing Hannah Gibbons STEM School. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Gregory.email@example.com or 216.838.0750.
