• Dear Parents & Guardians,

We have been very blessed this fall with beautiful weather.  With the weather now changing, please be sure your children are dressed for outdoor recess, arrival and dismissal.  If you need any assistance, please reach out and we will be happy to help.

Our October ended with a wonderful Fall Fest that was planned by Mrs. Moore and we had the support of our middle school scholars with leading the stations and ensuring an engaging time for all participants. Our scholars are currently working very hard to prepare for our STEM Presentation of Learning on December 13, where we will welcome every family to see the final products of your children’s fruitful labor.

Now, with the start of November, we held our Parent Teacher Conferences.  If you were unable to schedule an appointment with your child/ren’s teacher, feel free to contact your teacher for an appointment.  We look forward to this time of the year as it takes a true partnership to help our children reach their fullest potential.

November is a quick month, please ensure that your children attend school every day.  Research shows:

    • Children chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade.
    • By 6th grade, chronic absence is a proven early warning sign for students at risk for dropping out of school.
    • By 9th grade good attendance can predict graduation rates even better than 8th grade test scores.

Absences can add up quickly.  A child is chronically absent if he or she misses just two days every month!
