• Our History

In early fall of 2007, under the visionary leadership of Cleveland Schools Superintendent Dr. Eugene T. W. Sanders; this single-gender academy was introduced as a new and unique opportunity school of choice within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

The Academy provides innovative systematic instruction and methods specifically designed for young males that promote achievement in academics such as English, math, science, social studies, language arts and Spanish as well as skill development in auxiliaries including fine arts, health, physical education, life skills, leadership and music.

The Academy’s 2011-2012 programs include young male enrollees in grades pre-kindergarten through grade 7. By year 2013, Kenneth Clement Boys’ Leadership Academy will become a school of choice open to male students in grades pre-kindergarten through 8.
