The Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Interscholastic Athletics Office invites students in the ninth through 12th grades to try out for the following fall sports: football, volleyball, soccer, golf, tennis and cross-country.
To participate in interscholastic athletics, students must have an up-to-date physical examination, hold a minimum grade point average of 2.0 and have received all passing marks on their final 2014-2015 school year report card. The Board of Education recently voted to exempt new ninth-graders from this policy for the first marking period of ninth grade.
Sign-up for high school fall sports begins Monday, July 28, and seasons start Friday, Aug. 1.
Student athletes should contact their high school’s Interscholastic Athletics Department for tryout dates and times.
