7/7/2016 -- When one CMSD teacher saw that some of his students were coming in unprepared for kindergarten, he took the initiative to design a kit to boost children's readiness.
CMSD relaunched it’s Get To School, You Can Make It attendance campaign last September with a district-wide pep rally and inspirational speakers. Ever since then, the work of fighting truancy has continued unabated.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade can receive live online tutoring from CMSD teachers in reading and English Language Arts, math, science and social studies from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Additionally, tutoring will be available to students in 6th through 12th grades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through TutorMe.
