Students and teachers at Alfred A. Benesch have access to the latest technology to enhance learning and help students develop skills they need to compete with their peers in the 21st Century. Our educators also value the role that families play in students' education and encourage parent involvement.
Benesch offers:
2/12/2018 - With a variety of high-quality, innovative high school models in place across the city, CMSD’s team of academic specialists is turning its attention to K-8 schools, and they are doing so with the help of families and community stakeholders
7/7/2016 -- When one CMSD teacher saw that some of his students were coming in unprepared for kindergarten, he took the initiative to design a kit to boost children's readiness.
5/25/2016 -- Families and communities applauded eighth graders and encouraged them to continue their education.

CMSD relaunched it’s Get To School, You Can Make It attendance campaign last September with a district-wide pep rally and inspirational speakers. Ever since then, the work of fighting truancy has continued unabated.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade can receive live online tutoring from CMSD teachers in reading and English Language Arts, math, science and social studies from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Additionally, tutoring will be available to students in 6th through 12th grades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through TutorMe.
Please provide your contact information so we can reach you for school cancellations, emergencies or instant notification of your child’s absence from school.
CMSD relaunched its Get 2 School, You Can Make It attendance campaign Wednesday, with speakers at a pep rally providing words of inspiration and telling students about the importance of attending school every day.
